INTRODUCTION

Camel Area FoE is a rural group based in Wadebridge, Cornwall and serves an area circumscribing the River Camel estuary within an approximate ten mile radius see Camel Area Foe Website for details.

Members choose the campaigns we work on and at present this includes:

 

  • Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation
  • Climate Change - its impact globally and locally
    see our climate friendly parish project here
  • Waste reduction and disposal
  • Planning / development
  • Global Forest protection
  • Corporate responsibility issues
  • Achieving a GMO free South-West

Through a combination of members' enthusiasm, willingness to learn and act, guided when necessary by the expertise of our national campaigners in London, we work on issues at local, national and international level.

Whichever environmental concern you want to work on, we can help you become active in taking a role to put things right. We need your skills and knowledge whatever they may be - from fund raising, catering, I.T., science, letter writing, fun making etc!

When committed people join together and work towards achieving positive outcomes, there is no limit to the effect they can have.

MEETINGS

You will be most welcome to join us at our meetings which are held every first Tuesday of the month at

'THE GOODS SHED'
7.30pm Wadebridge.

You can park in either the library or Co-op car park and will find the Goods Shed between the bus-station and the John Betjamen Centre.
